FREEDOM BUS GETS A NEW ENGINE

FROM THE STAR PRESS by Andrew Walker

The motto Bea Moten-Foster passed on to her daughter was
almost as powerful as her long list of accomplishments.

"Never accept 'No' from somebody who doesn't have the power
to say 'Yes,' " she would say.

Moten-Foster, The Muncie Times owner and publisher and
well-known youth activist and community leader, died Saturday
morning.

She was 73.

The DREAM TEAM'S "Freedom Bus" is finally getting the power it needs to travel the roads of East Central Indiana
thanks to Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS), and MITS mechanics. A brand new engine is being installed that will
soon allow the traveling museum chronicling the civil rights movement, to do the job it was intended to do. While the
interior exhibits will still take some time to develop and install, this first step is huge for the Dream Team. Hats off to
MITS!
