MLK Youth Citizenship Awards<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In January, the Saturday before MLK Day @ 9:30 am<\/strong>–Each year, we join Muncie Community Schools to host the MLK Youth Citizenship Award Ceremony for young people in Delaware County. Students are nominated by teachers and school staff for displaying positive qualities such as integrity, leadership, kindness, and the drive to make a difference at their school. This event is held at the Muncie Central HS Audtiorium. All local schools are invited to participate in this event.\u00a0<\/div>

Saturday, February 7, 2026. Free Refreshments @ 9:30 am. Program @10 am\u00a0 \u2022\u00a0 Minnetrista Museum & Gardens, Muncie, IN.
<\/b>Be a part of this annual event featuring, a free continental breakfast, speakers, MLK Essay contest winners, community leaders, and a silent auction or other fundraising activity to benefit the projects of the MLK Dream Team. Event is generally held the first Saturday of February each year. Thanks to Minnetrista for hosting this annual event!\u00a0 Thanks to Northwest Bank for sponsoring the cash prizes to essay winners!<\/p>

<\/b>The Black History Month Food Drive takes place each February at all Muncie Community Schools and other participating organizations. Community members generously donate food items to help those who are less fortunate. All items are given to local organizations to help those in need.Thanks to the Muncie Sanitary District for providing toters and for helping to deliver the donated food items.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
